We are a group of students and faculty and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign whose shared vision is to establish a dynamic school of thought in civil and environmental engineering that takes an interdisciplinary approach to engineering problems for achieving sustainability and resilience. We are inspired by the interdisciplinary programs of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department: Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure Systems (SRIS), Energy-Water-Environment Sustainability (EWES), and Societal Risk Management (SRM). We invite and welcome students and faculty from all departments to join our interdisciplinary spirit.
